Living it up in Paris (Las Vegas)

Have you always wanted to go to Paris, but don't want the long flight? Here's your chance. Visit Paris, Las Vegas. Its cobblestone streets and quaint cafes give you a glimpse of what it might be like to actually be in Paris. Not convinced? Of course it's not exactly like Paris, but it's as close as you can get in the U.S.

It's a relatively small casino, but it has plenty of restaurants, gaming, and nearby shopping to satisfy most anyone. I'm not a big gambler, but I won a BIG jackpot. I won't give the amount; let's just say Uncle Sam will want his cut. There is a HUGE shopping center right next door in Planet Hollywood and Bally's Casino is right next door. If you're adventurous, head across the street to the Bellagio or Ceasar's Palace.

There are restaurants for every taste and even a restaurant in the simulated Eiffel Tower. You can eat "high on the hog" or hit the buffet for a quick, filling meal. They also have sidewalk cafes that extend out on to the strip! If you like people watching, you'll love sitting in the cafe and watching all the crazies go by.

The rooms were tasteful, clean, and quiet (even on New Year's Eve when we went!) The towers are in an X shape to hold the maximum amount needed, but it wasn't so packed that you couldn't get up and down the elevators fast.

If you gamble, and you will want to, make sure and get your Harrah's Total Rewards Card. This will give you discounts in the hotel restaurants and stores and may even earn you a free night's stay on your next visit to a Harrah's property. This can be used at Planet Hollywood, Bally's, Ceasar's and many other Harrah's casinos. Harrah's has casinos all around the southwest.
